A senior engineering firm in the Pacific Northwest
We build high-availability software for organizations that operate under real constraints: security reviews, accessibility mandates, audit trails, and uptime commitments that do not bend.
Why we started
Our leadership spent years building consumer-scale platforms at technology companies where deployment speed was the whole game. We then worked alongside teams delivering mission-critical systems, where the priorities inverted: every change needs an audit trail, an accessibility review, and a rollback plan.
Most firms are fluent in one of those worlds. Rainier exists to be fluent in both: commercial delivery velocity with the documentation, security posture, and accessibility rigor that regulated environments require from day one.
We stay small on purpose. The engineers who scope your project are the engineers who build it, and we would rather turn work down than staff it thin.
We measure twice and cut once, then hand over a system your own team can maintain without us.
Four commitments we hold to
Strategic partner, not order taker
We push back when the requested technology is the wrong fit for the mission, and we say so during scoping rather than after invoice.
Compliance is a design input
Section 508, data sovereignty, and security frameworks enter the architecture at the blueprint stage, never as a remediation project later.
Conventional tools on purpose
We choose stacks your team can hire for and auditors recognize. Novelty is not a deliverable.
Knowledge transfer, always
Every engagement ends with documentation and handover sessions so your internal team can scale the platform independently.
Contracting credentials
Our certifications help prime contractors and agencies meet subcontracting goals while getting senior engineering on the work.
Let's talk about your mission
Send us the scope, the timeline, and the compliance requirements. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right team for it.
