Software subcontracting
Software subcontractor for federal primes
Give the software work package a team that can own it through handover. Rainier is a Washington-based, principal-led engineering firm building applications, APIs and integrations for government and enterprise work.

A defined scope, with clear boundaries
Applications and operator workflows
React and TypeScript interfaces backed by explicit domain models. Define the workflow, permissions, accessibility requirements and acceptance scenarios before implementation.
APIs and integrations
Python and Node.js services, data contracts and integrations with existing systems. Establish dependency ownership, failure behavior and test environments with the prime.
Modernization work packages
Bounded changes to an existing application: replace a workflow, introduce an API, or improve a component. Agree migration, coexistence and recovery before changing the system of record.
Set the compliance requirements against the actual systems and data in the work package. We assess those requirements during scoping; a service description is not evidence of a particular clearance, certification or authorization.
Delivery evidence
A scheduling portal delivered under subcontract
A flight scheduling and schedule-management portal delivered under subcontract for a U.S. Air Force program, covering sortie scheduling, crew and aircraft assignment, deconfliction, and routing.

Python owns the scheduling model and conflict rules; React and Material UI provide the operator interface. Review the published scope and approach to judge its relevance to your acquisition.

01
Share the scope
Send the work package or statement of work, target schedule, stack, integration dependencies, and the security and accessibility requirements that apply.
02
Confirm fit and responsibilities
We review the technical scope, availability and division of work. Identify what the prime supplies, what Rainier owns, and which assumptions affect the estimate.
03
Agree delivery and handover
Define reviewable increments, acceptance evidence, repository access, documentation, rights and transition responsibilities in the subcontract.
